Reliability and Performance Group

A division of the Texas A&M University Turbomachinery Laboratory

Texas A&M University College of Engineering

Jonathan Thiele

Texas native from Boerne,  Jonathan has lived a life working on his interests in the broad field of engineering by starting with models at a young age, building potato guns at adolescent, and continued in learning more on versatile tools used in today’s world. With a bachelors in mechanical engineering at Texas A&M University, he was able to acquire vast knowledge in several industries, aerospace and oil & gas. His positions include working as a field engineer, manufacturing engineer, and asset integrity analyst. He decided to continue his learning into higher specific subjects and found the mystery in rotor-dynamics of turbomachinery. To compensate from research his time is spent learning the art in photography and enjoying the environment through cycling.
