Reliability and Performance Group

A division of the Texas A&M University Turbomachinery Laboratory

Texas A&M University College of Engineering

Sean McClean

Howdy! My name is Sean McClean, and I am currently pursuing my Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at the turbomachinery laboratory. I began working at the lab as an undergraduate assistant in Spring 2017 in the Reliability and Performance group, and shortly thereafter received an internship opportunity at Sulzer Turbo Services in La Porte, Texas. These two experiences sparked my interest in the complexity and depth of rotating equipment design and were driving factors in my decision to pursue an advanced degree. My primary interests include component design, performance validation, and rotordynamic and vibrations analysis. I anticipate completing my Masters in Spring 2020.
