Reliability and Performance Group

A division of the Texas A&M University Turbomachinery Laboratory

Texas A&M University College of Engineering

Wenjie Yin

Howdy, I am Wenjie Yin, a PhD student in the Reliability and Performance Group. I started as a MSc student at the Turbolab in 2014. Before that, I obtained my BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China. My first project in Turbo lab was the CFD simulation study of the effects of viscosity on ESP (electric submersible pumps) performance. After that, I have also worked on Rod String Stability and Reliability study and Journal Bearing erosion tests and simulations. During the 5 years working at Turbolab, I learned a lot from my advisor, projects, classes and colleagues. The work experience at the Turbo lab has laid a solid foundation for me to start my career as an engineer.
